Sensitivity has a new home...
Good afternoon readers;
I would like to get a few words off my chest that have been weighing me down for a while now. Recently I have encountered that this generation (Millennials) are a bit different than genXers. Millennials have developed a sense of being overly sensitive. They can not be criticized on what they do or how they do it. The appreciation factor is at an all time low with them. Most of them won't do something out of kindness or out of spontaneity. They would rather live a life of being asked to accomplish something that is warmhearted and or heart felt instead of seeing and feeling a need to fulfill a void in someone's life. Heck, the concept of volunteering for someone/something is seen as a sentence to purgatory where just an hour or two would seem like an eternity. Everything and anything can be done by them but it would have to be followed by a reward of sorts. I can't imagine what lives these youngsters will live but from what I have seen I can only guess a life of solitude with a hand out waiting for something to be placed in it. Now before I get any comments about the entire generation I want to make sure that this opinion falls upon some millennials and not all.

Ubering 08/12/2016...
Good afternoon everyone,
Well today would have to be one of those days that are one in a million. At some point yesterday a bird decided to leave it's unpleasant trails (poop) on the passenger side window and door. I saw it and told myself to clean it off the car at some point in the afternoon. Well this morning when I logged in to Uber I went out to my usual location (with WiFi) to await my first request. Well in about 1 minutes time the request came in and I was off to pick up Michael (rider's name). As I'm waiting at the stop light I glanced to my right and saw what I had forgotten to clean up the day before. I had this huge wave of embarrassment plow through me. There was no way that I was able to get that cleaned up and be on time to pick up my very first rider of the day. So I decided to think of a story for the poop being there without mentioning that I forgot to clean it up. After about a minute of processing it I decided to just say what really happened and let the chips fall where they may. Well, turns out that my first rider of the day Michael is blind. That's right folks - I was worried about the poop being all over my window and door and having to embrace the embarrassment for nothing. So with a big sigh I welcomed Michael and proceeded to take him to his destination. Rest assured that the moment I had the free time to get that hideous splat removed from my sight I was all over it.
Needless to say I no longer have that poop problem any more, well until another bird decides to graffiti my ride once again.

Getting there...
Well, it's week two and I've trying this new workout that makes me focus on my actual workout and not how much I can do in a short period of time. Each rep I do I have to slow it down and really focus on the movement. I can honestly say that it feels great after my first set. Bench pressing is tough already but adding the slow factor really makes you feel the burn.

Not a bad show after all...
I came across this show about a week ago and I told myself not to watch it because the last thing I need is to be hooked on another show. Well, I'm here to tell you that I have failed big time. Not only am I watching the show but I'm hooked on it and have added it to my roster of shows that are a must see. Michael Imperioli is the one to look for in this hit show. I've been watching his performance since Goodfellas. That's right he was in Goodfellas. Can't remember where? Let's just say that he went by the name Spider. Watch the show and let me know what you think by leaving a comment.

Regardless to what is going on with me whether it's good or bad this track always gets me in the hood mode. Straight ghetto. Enjoy this track as I am right now.

My apologies...
I am sorry that I have not posted something in the past few days. I have been feeling a bit under the weather and it didn't help that I had some issues with my PC yesterday. Well to be honest, my PC had been acting up for about a few months now. I would repeatedly get an error message that would prevent my PC from loading its' operating system. During the start up session it would present a black screen and a voice would prompt saying "System Failed CPU Test". I used to wiggle some wires inside the tower and it would load just fine.
Well last night after about an hour and a half of this issue I gave up and searched online for this error. It turns out that ASUS (my mother board creators) have had some passed problems supporting certain video cards. Since I'm thin on extra cash I decided to unplug the card and reinsert it hoping that by doing so would solve my issue. Well it did, now I was able to load my programs and go about my daily routine. So like I said before, I apologize for the absent days and I will try to be on and posting something daily.

Trying to make some extra money...
Well this morning could not of been any more entertaining. I would like to first mention that I have been collecting a lot of metal materials like aluminum cans and other aluminum items so that I can take them into the recycling center and make some money. Well I have managed to hold on to about 26lbs of cans and about 108lbs of aluminum thus far. Well after getting it all to fit in my Camry I headed out to the center - along the way I happened to meet an interesting character. The character would be an unnamed rock/boulder - it made a really close introduction by scrapping under my car and causing what was a small gas leak turn into an all out gas leak. There I was trying to dispose of all this aluminum and the smell of gasoline can be picked by everyone there which of course had to inform me that I had a leak. DUH! I finally got the cans in one bin and the other material in another.
The cans were 26lbs for a huge payout of $10 (sarcastic face of course)! The other material was not processed because since most of it looked the same the center was cautious and asked me to get a letter head from my employer (they gave me the scrapped pieces) and bring it back so that I can get payed. Now here I was with a slip to fill out and a pocket with a fresh scented $10 bill in it and a huge concern if I was going to make it to the gas station or was I going to have to hike it to get some gas. Well the car did make it to the station but not before giving me some scary moments. That's right, the car stalled twice - once at a light and the other was right before I pulled into the gas station.
I managed to coast it in right up to a pump. The smell of gasoline was of course with me when I got out to pay for some more. I put in five bucks worth in hopes that it wouldn't be on the road immediately - I was able to drop it off at Doug's Automotive on South Avenue in Toledo. There the car sits until Doug looks at it tomorrow. So what started out to be a money maker ended up being what might be a large expense. Moral of the story - don't meet any strange "characters" on your way out because it will cost you one way or another. Your best bet is to swerve away.

Follow up...
UPDATE:
Well the pool is still filling up which I think will continue until about 9:30 or so. My two daughters were in and out of the pool while it was filling cooling off from the hot sun and warm air. Heck the dogs even joined in on the fun. We had to retrain them on how to stay afloat and paddle otherwise they (we have two dogs) will drop to the bottom like a couple of rocks. They were none too happy having to go around with wet doggy hair for about a half hour but they did have fun in the pool even though it was shallow enough for them to walk/swim around.

Out yesterday but in today...
I apologize for not putting something up yesterday - everything got really hectic at work so I wasn't able to put some time aside to post anything that was going on with me. Now today is a different day - woke up this morning wanting to do nothing but chill all day and do absolutely nothing. Well that lasted about two hours before I got bored and started my usual chores around the house. The one task I was not looking into starting today was the re-cleaning of the pool. My wife called me from a picnic that she was attending and asked if I could clean it because it looks like it will be rather warm the next few days.
Upon looking into the pool I really wanted to call her back and say that it was beyond hope but I didn't want this small chore hold me back from accomplishing yet another task. I managed to get it completely cleaned in about an hour and 45 minutes. Now the pool is filling up and my daughter and I are impatiently waiting to jump in and go for a nice fresh swim. I believe that my tan will be nice and dark by the end of tomorrow. Talk to you guys later.

A different look on the future...

I received the pics above from a friend and from what I saw it does look cool but is this really the direction we want to go. Check out the pics and let me know what you think. I would love to test drive the vehicle below...No steering wheel; you drive it with a joystick. No pedals either.
Can you drive with a joystick? Our children and grandchildren probably can.
The influence of video games in our lives has really arrived, wouldn't you say?
SCARY THOUGHT THAT NOW A 7 YEAR OLD COULD STEAL YOUR CAR AND PROBABLY DRIVE IT BETTER THAN YOU.

I might do it....
After watching the video below I found myself thinking about my buddies back in high school doing something like this and having them ask me to join in. When younger we did a few things that would be considered to be a bit awkward and different but we saw it as fun and entertaining. Watch the video and let me know what you think and if you're brave enough to leave a comment please tell me about something you did when you were younger and silly. Please refrain from leaving anything inappropriate like make out moments or anything close to that.
:)
Do not attempt this at home or near and college campuses either...

Viewing the incredible...
While on a trip to Gran Rapids Ohio on Thursday I noticed that some of the roads were closed due to flooding. Now when I finally got to the village I had a chance to get a few pictures of a home that was near the river and as you can see it didn't turn out so good for that family. Then on Friday when I went to make a delivery to one of our affiliates I noticed the Maumee river was way over it's height. I have not had a chance to go back and see what the level looks like now but I plan on going over tomorrow and seeing what the river looks like now.

Going through the motions...
SEATTLE - Joe Smith scored 25 points and the Chicago Bulls pulled away in the final 8:41 Monday to pocket a 118-108 road victory over the Seattle SuperSonics. Smith also had 10 rebounds as Chicago broke a two-game streak while ending the Sonics' three-game win streak -- their longest this season. Ben Gordon added 20 points for the Bulls.Seattle got 21 points from Wally Szczerbiak and 20 from Kevin Durant. Chicago pretty much led from start to finish, going up 27-25 after the first quarter, 56-49 at halftime and 83-73 going into the final period. Seattle hung around and trailed just 91-84 after a Luke Ridnour three-pointer with 8:41 remaining but could pull no closer the rest of the way. With Chicago setting a pace they might keep this streak going, seeing that they're heading to Portland tomorrow to face them at 10:00pm. I hope that a win their will propel them to continue the current streak.

Third brother feeling proud...
Just watched an interview with Cooper Manning regarding his reaction to his brothers' accomplishments. Cooper Manning is a great man and very outspoken. He is proud of his brothers both Eli and Peyton. The question of him possibly being jealous of his siblings' goal setting success was asked and as a stable and self aware gentleman he quickly answered by saying that what his brothers have done now and in the past are moments that places him in a proud and privileged to have them as part of the family. He is a strong son, brother, husband and above all a great father. My hat goes off to the Manning family in all of their successes as well as the NY Giants for achieving what many said they couldn't do

Appointed Chancellor of Germany...
Hitler was Appointed Chancellor of Germany 75 years ago today. (1933)Hitler's rise to power began long before 1933, with his development of the Nazi party in the early 1920s and the widespread release of his book, Mein Kampf, in 1925. After the Nazi party lost seats in Germany's November 1932 parliamentary elections, leading businessmen and political figures appealed to Germany's president to appoint Hitler chancellor. As chancellor, Hitler quickly moved to eliminate his rivals and consolidate his power. Hitler's history isn't being mentioned here to promote or encourage what he did, this post is to remind people that even when someone like Adolf can work behind the scenes and position themselves higher in the ranks ou might want to keep an eye out or at least be aware.

"The Raven" from (1845)

"The Raven," like Poe's other works, conveys the dreamlike and often macabre forces that pervaded the author's sensibility. Poe wrote the poem while his moribund wife was suffering from tuberculosis, and it became an instant sensation when it appeared in the Evening Mirror in 1845. In the poem, the speaker, who is mourning the death of his love, Lenore, is mysteriously visited by a talking raven and asks the bird a series of questions.

Sorry for the gap in posts...
I have been busy at work as well as being really sick from Tuesday up to today. I am slowly getting better but now my wife has it and it won't go without a fight. I have been doing a lot through out the week but I was not feeling well enough to sit in front of the computer and present many posts on what I have done, for that I apologize. I have a few posts up on my other blog Basic Issues of events that I attended and sites that I have visited. If you're interested in reading then please feel free to visit. I have a link to the right. I am going to try and keep up to my promise on having something posted daily.

A good day for Drudge...

Matthew Drudge, raised in Takoma Park, Maryland, near Washington, DC, is an only child. His parents are Jewish liberal-Democrats who both worked for the federal government. His father Robert Drudge, a former social worker who owns the reference site www.refdesk.com and his mother, a former staff attorney for Ted Kennedy divorced when he was six. Drudge went to live with his mother. He had few friends but was an avid news reader and radio talk show fan. In his book Drudge Manifesto, Drudge reports that he "failed his Bar Mitzvah", and graduated 341st out of a class of 355 from Northwood High School in 1984, thus giving himself, in his words, a "more than adequate curriculum vitae for a post at 7-Eleven".
The Monica Lewinsky scandal was a political-sex scandal emerging from a sexual relationship between United States President Bill Clinton and a then 22-year-old White House intern, Monica Lewinsky. The news of this extra-marital affair and the resulting investigation eventually led to the impeachment of President Clinton in 1998 by the U.S. House of Representatives and his subsequent acquittal on all charges (of perjury and obstruction of justice) in a 21-day Senate trial.
News of the scandal first broke on January 17, 1998, on the Drudge Report website, which reported that Newsweek editors were sitting on a story by investigative reporter Michael Isikoff exposing the affair. The story broke in the mainstream press on January 21 when it hit the Washington Post. The story swirled for several days and despite swift denials from Clinton, the clamor for answers from the White House grew louder. On January 26, a visibly flustered President Clinton, standing with wife Hillary Rodham Clinton, spoke at a White House press conference, and issued a forceful denial while wagging his finger: we all know what the outcome of that was.
Matt Drudge continues to bring stories to the spot light that sometimes either don't get mentioned or don't get enough attention. Some of his work may or may not fall under my approval stands but his information and coverage is considered to be of top quality and is respected by many.
