Nissan OneOne

The OneOne is envisioned as a sort of lovable pet vehicle. ("Won-won" is a common Japanese imitation for the sound of a barking dog.) Besides being cute, it would also be a helpful member of the family. On its own, it could go fetch some groceries or take a child to school.

The OneOne would move itself along like a skater by alternately pushing out with each of its rear wheels. At high speeds it would lean back for better aerodynamics, but at slower speeds it could "stand up" for better visibility.

I can easily see myself utilizing this bad boy for those quick beer runs during that crucial 4th quarter drive towards the end zone when you know that by leaving the house you can potentially miss a pass or an interception heck maybe even a fan running through the field. All kidding aside this concept is relly intrigueing especially the way our lives moves towards the easy and easier way of living. I give Nissan a 10 on concept and thought.

Finding the right one...

Writing about this company at first seemed to be a bit troubling but then my daughter walked in the door complaining that she just got done going store to store trying to find shoes that fits her style. My daughter emphasized that she needed large size womens shoes but all they had were the too small for the average person shoes. I sat her down and proceeded to show her that all she had to do was do a little searching for the right shoes. I told her that she should visit SamantaShoes.com and see what they had to offer. Random Drug Test - Are they fair?

Drug testing causes a stir in the NFL

DENVER (UPI) -- Ex-National Football League player Antonio Bryant is suing the league for allegedly forcing him to submit to random drug tests despite not being under contract. The NFL "believes that any individual who has ever played or thought about playing professional football is subject to the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse," Bryant's attorney and agent, Peter J. Schaeffer, wrote in an affidavit. "If this were true, any private company in the United States could test individuals for drugs and alcohol if that individual had worked or was thinking of working in that industry." Schaeffer filed the lawsuit in Denver because he is based in Colorado, while Bryant lives in Texas.
NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said the lawsuit and another similar suit filed by Denver Broncos running back Travis Henry are without merit."Both cases cannot be maintained in court because any appeals must be brought under the program's grievance procedures," McCarthy wrote in an e-mail.

I kind of have a different opinion on this matter because I place this scenario with the one that people think that having Big Brother watching you can only lead to be things. If you run a straight and narrow life where you don't find yourself doing things that can get you in trouble with policy, contracts or even the law then you have nothing to worry about especially if someone decides to install a camera in their business or a doctor from an franchise asks you to submit to a drug test. Now, if you live your life in deceit and always trying to cheat the next person then I guess you should be against all visual/audio recordings and you should stay away from contracts that involve random tests.

NFL: Jacksonville 24, Tampa Bay 23

TAMPA, Fla. (UPI) -- Quarterback Quinn Gray went 7-of-16 for 100 yards and a TD in his first NFL start Sunday afternoon, as the Jacksonville Jaguars beat Tampa Bay, 24-23. Fred Taylor ran for 68 yards on 24 carries and Maurice Jones-Drew rushed 10 times for 48 yards, as the Jaguars (5-2) won despite getting a mere 219 total yards total offense. Aaron Glenn returned an interception for a touchdown in the second quarter for Jacksonville.
Jeff Garcia completed 19-of-41 passes for 267 yards and a touchdown, but also threw three interceptions for the Buccaneers (4-4). Joey Galloway caught six balls for 115 yards.

I had a tough time selecting the winner of this game on Friday when I entered my picks but I did a little homework and saw that the Buccs stood a chance against the Jaguars. The game itself was pretty good and the turn out wasn't all that to be ashamed of, now for my 49ers I expected them to win but wouldn't you know it they let that game slip away from them right from the beginning - so to them I say 'Maybe next time'...

LeBron and Lasik...

Can it get any worse?

I just got done reviewing the games that have been played thus far and let me tell you that I have seen better days. I thought for sure that the 49ers would easily win over the Saints but guess what they seem to have taken the season off because ever since the first two wins they have been going down a slippery slope. Well I see that the Colts are still operating on all cylinders. They made their game seem like it was the preseason with a 31-7 win over the Panthers. Well I still have a few games left that might turn around and be a bit better the the first half of the games. Completely stressful...

NEW CREDIT CARD SCAM

The Holiday Season is just a little bit down the road and the bad guys are
already trying to get free stuff by using your credit.

This one is pretty slick since they provide YOU with all the information,
except the one piece they want.  Note, the callers do not ask for your card
number; they already have it.

This information is worth reading.  By understanding how the VISA and
MasterCard Telephone Credit Card Scam works, you'll be better prepared to
protect yourself.

One of our employees was called on Wednesday from 'VISA', and I was called
on Thursday from 'Master Card'.  The scam works like this: Person calling
says, 'This is (name), and I'm calling from the Security and Fraud
Department at VISA.  My badge number is 12460.  Your card has been flagged
for an unusual purchase pattern, and I'm calling to verify.  This would be
on your VISA card which was issued by ( name of bank).  Did you purchase an
Anti-Telemarketing Device for $497.99 from a Marketing company based in
Arizona ?' ........

When you say 'No', the caller continues with, 'Then we will be issuing a
credit to your account.  This is a company we have been watching and the
charges range from $297 to $497, just under the $500 purchase pattern that
flags most cards. Before your next statement, the credit will be sent to
(gives you your address), is that correct?' You say 'yes'.......

The caller continues - 'I will be starting a Fraud investigation.  If you
have any questions, you should call the 1- 800 number listed on the back of
your card (1-800-VISA) and ask for Security. You will need to refer to this
Control Number.  The caller then gives you a 6 digit number. 'Do you need me
to read it again?'

Here's the IMPORTANT part on how the scam works.  The caller then says, 'I
need to verify you are in possession of your card.' He'll ask you to 'turn
your card over and look for some numbers.' There are 7 numbers; the first 4
are part of your card number, the next 3 are the security Numbers' that
verify you are the possessor of the card.  These are the numbers you
sometimes use to make Internet purchases to prove you have the card.....

The caller will ask you to read the 3 numbers to him.  After you tell the
caller the 3 numbers, he'll say, 'That is correct, I just needed to verify
that the card has not been lost or stolen, and that you still have your
card.  Do you have any other questions?' After you say, 'No,' the caller
then thanks you and states, 'Don't hesitate to call back if you do', and
hangs up. ....

You actually say very little, and they never ask for or tell you the Card
number.  But after we were called on Wednesday, we called back within 20
minutes to ask a question.  Are we glad we did! The REAL VISA security
Department told us it was a scam and in the last 15 minutes a new purchase
of $497.99 was charged to our card.

Long story - short - we made a real fraud report and closed the VISA
account.  VISA is reissuing us a new number.  What the scammers want is the
3-digit PIN number on the back of the card. Don't give it to them. Instead,
tell them you'll call VISA or Master card directly for verification of their
conversation.

The real VISA told us that they will never ask for anything on the card as
they already know the information since they issued the card!  If you give
the scammers your 3 Digit PIN Number, you think you're receiving a credit.
However, by the time you get your statement you'll see charges for purchases
you didn't make, and by then it's almost too late and/or more difficult to
actually file a fraud report.

What makes this more remarkable is that on Thursday, I got a call from a
'Jason Richardson of Master Card' with a word-for-word repeat of the VISA
scam.  This time I didn't let him finish. I hung up! We filed a police
report, as instructed by VISA.  The police said they are taking several of
these reports daily!  They also urged us to tell everybody we know that this
scam is happening. Please pass this on to all your family and friends.  By
informing each other, we protect each other.

Looks like the boys in blue are doing what they do best, Kick Butt! I have been switching between games and now I found myself staying and watching the Michigan game all the way through. When I first started to watch they were down 6 to 10 and now they're up 27 to 10. That's right they have gone on a scoring spree and have 17 unanswered points. I wish I can be there enjoying the cheerful crowd and watching them run through the steps of being in the Big House.

The boys in blue have just won the game and they have added more to their score. They ended up beating the Golden Badgers 34-10 which of course feel good. Next up are the Spartans from Michigan State.

When viewing this picture, what is your first thought? Does this woman seem threatening to you? Is she a bit too close to Rice? When I first saw this and read the article behind it I found myself wondering what is it exactly that these protesters do when the day is done? Do they go home and continue the protest with their loved one or are they heading back to an empty apartment or house. What bothers me the most about protesters is that they seem to think that because the have something to say they have the right to say it, yes they do have the right to say whatever it is they're trying to deliver but they have to also realize that the person or the group of people they're talking to have to the right to not listen. What this woman is doing is clearly a violation of personal space, if there are any past protesters reading this post please remember that yes you can speak freely but don't break the human spirit of those by you.

Watching the news coverage last night and this morning the one thing in my mind and heart was the safety of the people involved whether it's home owners, neighbors or the brave firefighters fighting this fire with all their might. They have reported that only one life was lost thus far, my hope is that it stays at that number and does not increase as time goes on. I also hope that these brave fighters are being rotated so that exhaustion doesn't partner up with this furious fire. I have posted before about how home owners can try and prevent something like this from happening by simply running a hose line over your house that would act as a sprinkler of sorts to keep the home damp while the fire rushes by. In the end a lot will be lost but the families will continue living together safe and sound.

Jim Mitchell passed away at the age of 60...

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. (UPI) -- Two-time Pro Bowl tight end Jim Mitchell, who played 11 NFL seasons for the Atlanta Falcons, has died at the age of 60.
Mitchell died Saturday, one day after his 60th birthday, of an apparent heart attack, the Shelbyville (Tenn.) Times-Gazette reported Monday.
A family friend found Mitchell on Saturday morning unconscious on the steps of his Shelbyville home. Mitchell was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
Mitchell played for the Falcons from 1969 to 1979 and was selected for the Pro Bowl after the 1969 and 1972 seasons. He had 305 career receptions for 4,358 yards and 28 touchdowns. A prayer to him and his loved ones left behind, the doors to heaven were open to welcome such a great man.

The Giants defense forced four turnovers. San Francisco quarterback Trent Dilfer was 23-of-38 passing for 209 yards. Frank Gore led San Francisco's ground game with 88 yards on 14 carries and caught three passes for 27 yards. The 49ers (2-4) have lost four straight games after opening their season with two wins.
I actually thought that things would of been just a little bit different this time around but noooo they had the moves just not the execution. Well, we'll try again next week.

Linebacker Parys Haralson lit it up in Thursday’s practice during one on one pass rush drills, showing some violence, speed and variation in his pass rush repertoire.
“I’m just trying to work on my technique and I try to just react to the set I get from the lineman,” said Haralson. “You want to have different moves that you can do but what you end up using is dictated on the player you are going up against and the set you get.”
Haralson’s role has expanded since the season loss of Manny Lawson, and from the look of things in practice this week, so has his play.
“I felt like last year I was just getting going and then had the setback with the injury that ended my season,” said Haralson. “It’s really taken me a while to get back to where I feel like I’ve got a good feel for what we are doing and it’s been coming along well for me lately. I’ve got more opportunities now and I want to make sure I’m ready when I’m called upon.”

I spent about 45 minutes reading some coverage on the team and from the sounds of the other players including Parys it looks like the niners might pull through tomorrow. All I can say is that whether they win or lose I will still stick with them until the end.

A continuous problem...

Although the video was done back in 2006 the contents are so true. Illegal immigration is and always was a problem. What we need to do and stick to it is seek those hiring illegals and place such a hefty fine that they will have definite trouble getting back on their feet. With that kind of penalty they'll think twice before breaking the law again in order to save a few bucks on employees and costs over all. We'll get this figured out sooner or later.

What she really needs...

One of the biggest thoughts in my mind would have to go to the new member in the family. Well actually my mind is set on my daughter in law. Why's that you ask? Well, she is currently laying on a hospital bed that didn't look too comfortable. What she would love is a neat looking Sleigh Bed. Actually she would love one of those dark wood sleigh beds. My son would probably want one of the many Queen Beds available but I'm pretty sure that the both of them would prefer one of the King Beds instead

A new member...

Today at 6:02 am a new member was brought into the family. Annika Grace Birukow is her name and having a killer gripping hands is her game. This post goes out to my son and daughter in law, congrats and welcome to the world of parenting.

Of course I had to hold the baby as you can see. Hold a new life in my arms felt really good, it gave me a real sense of how life can be fragile at first but as the years go on you find yourself feeling invincible. God bless you Annika and I love you.

I received a flyer today and on it I saw what looks to be a very disturbed clown. It was a flyer for the Chainsaw Creek Haunted Attractions at the Westfiled Franklin Park. I haven't been to a haunted house in years and from the looks of these four types it looks like I'm not going with anyone any time soon. My daughters won't be brave enough to come in with me and I know that my wife doesn't really particularlly care for haunted houses. So my visiting days are not near enough. :)

Giants kicking butt and taking names...

ATLANTA -- Eli Manning shook off two interceptions Monday night, throwing for two scores and 303 yards in the N.Y. Giants' 31-10 win over the feckless Atlanta Falcons. Manning completed 27 of 39 passes for his second 300-yard game this season. Plaxico Burress caught six Manning tosses for 97 yards with one TD as New York (4-2) won its fourth straight after starting the season 0-2. Reuben Droughns ran for 90 yards and a score and Brandon Jacobs rushed for 86 yards for the Giants, who pulled within a game of NFC East-leading Dallas. Amani Toomer's touchdown catch tied him with Kyle Rote for the most in franchise history at 48, while his seventh and final catch gave him sole possession of the franchise's all-time lead in that category with 587. Tiki Barber held the previous record with 586. Toomer ended with 89 yards receiving. Jerious Norwood ran for 87 yards, including a 67-yard TD run, for the Falcons (1-5), who have dropped two in a row since picking up their lone win of the season. How much will any one of you reading this bet me that one of these clowns will try to go to court and appeal their citation because they had the right to face their accuser. View the video below. My answer would be simply this "Look jerk-off if you hadn't been speeding by these tolls and not paying we might of caught you eventually but because you're a fu*#ing crook and would rather break the law instead of paying now we have to use cameras just to catch your dumb butt". It's just like here in Toledo, we have the red light camera system where they take the a photo of your car when you run a light, some morons here start crying invasion of privacy. My simple answer would be "STOP AT A RED!" If you know you're not going to make it then for god's sake stop and wait for the next green light, don't take the chance of being caught breaking the law. No one will invade your fu*#ing privacy if you obey the laws, it's as simple as that. I need to buy stock in duct tape.

The title would be great if it was true but my wife is not too fond of the latin music world. I have tried the dance moves before, they were a little hard at first but I got the hang of it once I realized that they are easier to learn then it was to learn Merengue. The Saints (1-4) also got a blocked field goal by Josh Bullocks. I spent the first few weeks picking the Saints because I fell for that "Let's bury last year's season and start fresh" BS and picked them to win their respected games. Well they haven't exactly been playing all that great since the season opened so I decided to not pick them yesterday and wouldn't you know it they win. The one thing I can say is that this season has had some serious ups and downs.

TOLEDO OH (10-14-07) - Michael McDowell made his grand exit from the ARCA RE/MAX Series stage in grand style. The Phoenix, Arizona rookie, on his way to the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series in 2008, won the SIM Factory Pole, led the most laps and passed James Buescher with two laps to go to win the thrilling Hantz Group 200 by Belle Tire Sunday afternoon at Toledo Speedway. McDowell, in Eddie Sharp's Z Line-Make A Wish-Beck Dodge, lost the lead in lapped traffic on the 172nd circuit of the 200 lap race, and took it back just in time to earn his fourth career RE/MAX Series victory.
"I made a mistake there, got trapped down on the bottom and let James get away from me and I didn't want to end the race that way," said McDowell.
The race was definitely one to watch up front in personal. It was pretty much non-stop action today at the track, I was rooting for #42 Frank Kimmel and #60 Patrick Sheltra but they ended up coming in 5 and 8. That's not bad considering Kimmel was in 7th during line up and Sheltra was 20th. The race had it's moments especially when one of the drivers was pinned and then side stepped causing him to hit the way and not be able to finish the race. He was so upset that he waited by his car until the pace car and the rest of the racers came by him, he then approached the car that had pushed him and he threw his gloves at the car. A fun and eventful day at Toledo Speedway.

Saturday Photo Hunt - Smelly

The shot you see was taken minutes before her bath-time. Our lovely dog decided to play around with some shampoo an conditioner bottles and since my teenage girls forget to close the caps on the bottles the dog has found a new way to get my attention. Now I know the theme is smelly and that word usually reflects a bad smell but in this case my dog smelled like Herbal Essence's passion fruit, and no she wasn't moaning like the women in the commercials.

I am getting sick and tired of having these illegals fleeing their country to live here illegally, their first response is that they fled and came here for the right reason. That statement is by all means a stupid one. Usually people who break the law usually will state that it was done with good intentions. Look I'm going to say this really slow so that you can understand me. If you want to enjoy the luxuries of the U.S. then please enter the states legally. If you cross the border and then have the nerve to get pregnant and think that with having a child born in the U.S. will keep you here legally guess what - NO it doesn't work that way. We currently have a law that states that if you're born in the U.S. then that automatically makes you a citizen. If it was up to me I would definitely amend that and add that if a U.S. citizen has a child born here in the states that yes the child is a citizen but if an illegal has a child here then that child is an illegal as well. I heard that a group intends to sue the state because of it's strong rules, look morons - you're defending something that is wrong and is clearly in the books as such. I'm going to cool down right now because this illegal BS is really pissing off this puertorican.

Boeing's bolts are short...

NEW YORK (Reuters) — Boeing's chief executive pointed the finger at Alcoa and others for the lack of bolts that has delayed the first flight of its new 787 Dreamliner and threatens its delivery schedule.
The shortage of aluminum and titanium bolts — known as fasteners in the aerospace industry — has been publicly discussed by Boeing for six months or so, but the problem is still not completely solved, Boeing CEO Jim McNerney said at an investor presentation Tuesday.

When the introduction of the Dreamliner was made a few months ago I was talking with my wife about the jobs and added work hours this bad boy is going to create. We jokingly said that even with the huge announcement made that the supplies for this baby would probably be short in supply. Well here we are a few down the road and now Boeing has to postpone their delivery date to who knows what. Well at least the jobs and workers will still be there waiting for these bolts to arrive.

I would definitely try this at least three times a day just to get that calm and soothing feeling. In my case if we can switch the guy for a woman then it would be a whole lot more enjoyable. :)
If you take a close look you can see that the woman in the video has stones in between her toes, I don't know about you guys but my toes have been in boots and sneakers for so long I don't think they can spread that far to have stones in between them. :)

A little surprised...

I read an article tonight and I found myself a bit lost and confused, A survey was done about America's Favorite Cities and guess what - Toledo was not in it - heck none of the cities in Ohio were mentioned. I even looked under the museum category and I found that Toledo didn't even get mentioned. Our museum got rave reviews and they won an award before but for some reason wasn't good enough to be mentioned in the list. Oh well, maybe next time Ohio will get a nod or something that would at least mention one of our cities. Residents of Ohio, please vote next time around.

Taking a loss...

Well the day is over and I found myself having another loss. My 49ers have had a great game but because of a few mistakes they were unable to get that well deserved win today. I am going to continue to back my team up whether we win or lose. I hope that with how close this game was they come out blazing next week because I will be there supporting them.

A different view...

My wonderful wife has created a presentation of yesterdays event as well. She has used the more traditional music for hers. It looks great and she has text to go with it. I am learning how to get that part of it to work right now. I may redo the video with text or I might just wait until my next video to try it out. A worthy chair...

Yesterday was a day that I will not forget. I visited the Big House (U of M) yesterday and found myself wanting a Sofa right there with me because that would of made the experience all the more enjoyable. Visiting the BIG HOUSE!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending a Michigan football game and let me tell you that it was worth it from beginning to end. I parked in the Brown Lot which cost us about $15 bucks, they offered those who parking there a shuttle ride to the stadium. It was an enjoyable ride going through one of the golf courses. Another thing that I noticed is that all Michigan fans had a great personality and sense of humor a great bunch to have met personally. The game itself was awesome, as you all might know Michigan won over Eastern Michigan 33 - 22. It felt great being there and witnessing a Big House game first hand. I took lots of photos and created a video stream so that you can see what I saw. Enjoy and have a great weekend.

Saturday Photo Hunt - Curvy

The images you see to the right are of some very strong and sturdy curves. The curvy individuals (in circumference) are part of the new bridge that opened up this year here in Toledo. I was able to attend the ceremony that morning. It turned out to be a wonderful day an it felt good to be part of history. The sight of all of those who took the time to see it was awesome.

City Council decision...

There are many hard working people out there that are currently working on too much stress. This gentleman looks to have been living on tight times, he was hoping to get his home rezoned so that he can secure a loan to offset his debt and make his business and life a little bit easier. Here in Toledo some neighbors have stopped a convenience store from opening up in their neighborhood. The strong stance at the council meetings showed that they had heart and did not want an uncomfortable presence by the store that would of sold beer and wine as well as the other types of necessities. This owner owns other locations so he does not fall under the same problem that Mr. Ronald "Bo" Ward was in before his departure. What I'm trying to say is that for those who are given the power to cast votes that would determine what a citizens future would be should take some time aside to get all the details about what their voting on before casting that vote.

Working Progress...

I am ready today. I have brought my camera with me and I will be taking pictures of law breakers and turning them in. I posted yesterday that at a retail complex has one too many customers breaking the law. I will begin today when I go home tonight, I can guarantee to you and any one else that's reading this that I will find at least four cars parked there illegally. Stay tuned for photos of these law breakers.

A Small Problem...

I currently have two dogs at home, each of them get their fair share of fleas when the summer hits. I have bought them new beds each and every year because I know that they get overwhelmed with bugs. I am not buying any more beds, I plan on eliminating these bed bugs once and for all. I will not have bedbugs control my dog's bed any more. An issue that needs solving...

I posted awhile ago about what is currently going on at one of the retail parking lots involving cars parking in NO PARKING zones. Well it's been a few months now and I have seen maybe one police officer hand out tickets. I am promising to get this problem delt with immediately. I plan on taking pictures of the vehicles parked there and sending them to both the police department as well as the mayor, I know that next year's budget will be a headache because we have to some how balance the budget without causing too much trouble for city workers which include fire and police workers. If these clowns were ticketed everytime they parked in a fire lane we can make a minimum of 95 dollars per ticket. If my calculations are right that means that in a weeks' time we would of made $1,900. How's that you ask? Well each time I visit the complex there are at least five cars parked illegaly, I visit the area four times a week. If you do the math you'll have $1,900. With that kind of money we can do some serious damage to the city budget. Well stay tuned to this blog as I bring you some photos of the law breakers.

Bed and Breakfast are a must...

I have to be honest and say that although I do love Bed and Breakfast locations there are some that I've been to that are not simply run in a smooth manner where the guests feel at home. Now one BNB I would love to visit is the alnwick bed and breakfast, their locations are to die for. One of the BNBs that caught my eye was the Alndyke Farm, the location is gorgeous and the rooms look very inviting as well as comfortable. What the?!?

Just watched a video of some guys who have created an apartment inside a parking garage. Yes it sounds a bit crazy that this was done without any one noticing it but I have to hand it to them, they managed to be rent free for four years. Mall security found Mr. Townsend and apprehended him but are they going to take it down the video does show a very well done apartment complete with furniture. If you read the article that is attached to the title you will read that mall security caught Mr. Townsend. Check it out and when you watch it you can also see that they didn't have any windows, I don't know about anybody else but I need some kind of light that is not electrically powered. Hey maybe mall security can use this as a central location for taking suspects caught shop lifting.

It does match...

This post will hopefully get my wife's attention when she gets a chance to read it tonight. We have been holding back on buying a new light for the bathroom because the one we have is pretty original and it doesn't match the decor of what we have now. We have seen a lot of bathroom lighting in many stores but nothing really caught our eye. I came across this site and found at least two types that will suit just fine. All I have to do is let my wife look through the site and see if the ones I chose are okay with her (she is the boss you know) :)
