Desperation pass leaves Bama crowd frozen...

Not much of an Alabama or Ole Miss fan but I have to agree with pretty much all the viewers and fans who watched that game on Saturday. That pass in the 3rd was one to put into the scrap book because it was definitely one to remember. The fact that he even was able to throw the pass in a forward motion was cool enough but to have it land near the runner he was going for is just amazing. Now what took place afterwards is nothing more then fun entertainment. Watch for yourselves by clicking the coach image and let me know - that's if you're one of the few people who missed it. :)

Please watch the video below and watch the entire video and let me know what you think of the scenario that unfolded. Well, for me I think it was well deserved, especially coming from the many players that aren't juicing. The fans cheered on because they know that this guy was not only arrogant but is potentially a cheat. I guess the next few weeks will tell a tale of what's to come in A-Rod's future. What can I say...

Well, from what I saw today it looks like the Niners are here to kick some ass. This group of guys are so synchronized it's scary. When Smith threw for a season-high 303 yards and three touchdowns and Frank Gore ran for 106 yards and a score you know the recipe is good and the cooking is under way - If you can smell where I'm coming from. The chemistry is great, the staff is great and the support is definitely there. Congrats to you all for getting an excellent win over the Bills. Up next, the Giants - let's welcome them and hand them a loss in a very classy manner.

An Excellent Game!

WOW! Why is it that when the boys come out to kick some butt I am unable to watch the game? I was kinda watching online. I was on the ESPN "Play by Play" section and it was pretty darn cool to see it happen but of course nothing beats watching it unfold on TV. Congrats Niners on handing a nice beat-down on those green turds. Next stop - Buffalo. Get ready Bills because from what I'm seeing it looks like trouble is heading your way. Great Game guys can't wait until the next game.

Looking forward...

As most of you already know the true Referees have come back. This weekend will be an interesting one considering the games at hand in the NFL. I will post more tomorrow see you guys then.

Well I didn't get to watch last night's game between the Browns and Ravens but from what I heard the refs got a nice welcome back by the crowd. Check this out - even the ESPN commentators where happy to have the officials back.

Can't wait...

Well the 49ers handed out a good old fashion butt kicking this past Sunday (48-3) against Tampa Bay. The game was awesome to watch on my new 43" Plasma. The colors were really bright and of course the action was sweet. Well the Lions won on Monday night against the Bears which puts them at 5-0. Yes, like many of you out there wondering "Where the heck did this team come from"
If i'm not mistaken I think these two teams meet up next Sunday at 1:00pm. You can safely assume that I will not be that far from the screen when this game comes on. I wish them both the best but of course I'll be rooting for my Niners.

The wins just keep on coming...

With the Bulls winning these past few days it feels even better to announce that my 49ers have won a good game in overtime with a nicely placed field goal by Joe Nedney. I wasn't able to watch the game but from what I saw on ESPN.com and read on UPI it was definitely a good game. Here is UPI's coverage of the game -

NFL: San Francisco 23, St. Louis 20 (OT)
SAN FRANCISCO (UPI) -- Joe Nedney kicked a 29-yard field goal 9:39 into overtime Sunday, letting the San Francisco 49ers edge St. Louis 23-20.

The 49ers had taken a three-point lead on a 16-yard touchdown pass from Troy Smith to Michael Crabtree with 2:10 left in the fourth quarter, but Rams kicker Josh Brown forced an overtime when he hit a 33-yard field goal as time expired.

Smith tossed for a career-best 356 yards and a touchdown, going 17-of-28, and Frank Gore ran for 87 yards and a score on 22 carries for San Francisco (3-6).

The Rams, meanwhile, lost for the second time in three games.

Sam Bradford finished the game with 251 yards and one touchdown, and Steven Jackson gained 81 yards on 20 carries with a score for St. Louis (4-5).

Very nice -

You know, just when you think you have a fix on what a team can and can't do BOOM you get surprised. A big CONGRATS to the Bulls for delivering a good old fashion whoop ass. The fact that this team is still my favorite is not a shocker but the fact that they handed GS an ass kicking truly brings a smile to my face. Read the following for UPI and tell me if this wasn't a good game.


NBA: Chicago 120, Golden State 90
CHICAGO (UPI) -- A big game from Luol Deng helped Chicago take control early Thursday and the Bulls easily held on to crush Golden State 120-90.

Deng had 26 points, 11 rebounds and six assists in helping bring Chicago its second straight win. All four of Chicago's victories this year have come at home.

Derrick Rose added 22 points and 13 assists for the Bulls and Joakim Noah had 17 points.

The Bulls built a 66-38 halftime lead and their lead grew to as many as 33 points late in the third period.

Monta Ellis scored 24 to lead the Warriors, who played without center David Lee (elbow). Golden State fell to 2-2 on a five-game road trip.

The Bulls shot 54 percent from the floor and missed just twice in 23 attempts from the foul line.

What a game indeed.

You think...

San Francisco (0-4) blew a 14-0 first-quarter
lead due in part to a pair of interceptions by Alex Smith.
"Those were critical errors," Smith said.

Now most of you know that no matter what happens each season I will still remain a great supporter of Niners. If it was someone else they would of dumped this team and moved on to a better one. I still truly feel that the 49ers will have a decent season. Even though Smith had a few errors I still consider him too new to blame. I just hope that my other Niners fans don't give up on the team. Still with guys!

Sad, but not hurtful...

Well, the 49ers had themselves an interesting time this past weekend. Hoping to see a good game turned out to be a brutal butt whooping. I kept checking ESPN.com periodically throughout the game and I found myself stopping after half time. I knew that with it being the beginning of the season that they would need to get their game faces on before presenting some great games. The following is from a great site that I follow from time to time - please give it a read.

NFL: Seattle 31, San Francisco 6
SEATTLE (UPI) -- Matt Hasselbeck accounted for three touchdowns Sunday, passing for two scores and running for another, in the Seattle Seahawks' 31-6 rout of San Francisco.

Hasselbeck made a success of Pete Carroll's debut as head coach of Seattle (1-0) by going 18-of-23 through the air for 170 yards with one interception.

Carroll, who came to Seattle after nine years as coach at Southern California, entered the game with a 33-31 NFL career coaching record with the New York Jets (1994) and New England Patriots (1997-99).

Quarterback Alex Smith completed 26 of his 45 pass attempts for San Francisco (0-1), amassing 225 yards. Smith, however, tossed a pair of interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown by Marcus Trufant.

85 sees a spot on NFL Playoffs...

Well well well - it looks like somene has jumped the gun and has already predicted that his team will be in the playoffs. Good ole Ochocinco (from the CINCINNATI BENGALS) has said in the middle of the teams mandatory minicamp that he feels the team will be in the playoffs this season. Seriously, this is not a mistake or a messed up post - Chad is holding within his mind the hopes of getting to the playoffs. Well all I can say is good luck with that because unless you predict my 49ers in the running as well then I'm going to have to lean over and say "Maybe next year". Okay okay I'll behave, you never know they might very well make it to the playoffs given the other teams come down with some serious illness and are not permitted to participate. Alright I'll stop it, but on the serious side - good luck to the team and hope to see another great season of NFL football.

Vikings might get a Favre...

With today's opening lines displaying that Brett Farve might return to the spotlight of the NFL with quite possibly the Minnesota Vikings simply brought one thing to mind - Brett, would you please pick a team and stick to it. You are a great athlete no questions asked but this hopscotch endeavour that you have started doesn't look good for you and whatever image you have left. If in fact you do fill that spot with the Vikings then congrats but if you are already planning on jumping to the next square before your first foot settles in then please stay retired. The last thing the fans in Minnesota want is someone that came and went without trying it out a bit longer. Stay healthy bro and please follow through with what ever decision you present.

Not a done deal yet...

This past weekend was a bit of a stir in the world of sports especially when it comes to basketball. With the Lakers taking in a fourth title the NBA world had rumors that Shaq might be heading out to Ohio to join King James' court. That would be a great thought especially if these two powerhouses get together and get the job done. If the Cavaliers were able to get as far as they did this past season with their current squad you know that next year will be an awesome one to watch. Well that dream might have to be placed on the top shelf of the locker room because from what I read in this [article] it looks like there might be some hurdles to go over first before Shaq can even think about jumping to the midwest. Let me know what you think.

Sammy looking to return...

It's been a while since we've seen the great one smack one out of the park but it might be sooner then later that that image will be back. Sosa is currently fit to return to MLB and he wants to come back in full force and from what people have seen he looks to be in great shape especially when it comes to his hitting. I would be really excited to see him sport a red "B" but I don't know if Boston would even throw a bid for his skills. If any Red Sox decision makers are reading this (yeah right) please send Mr. Sosa a bid and who knows maybe he'll come on over.

Doesn't look too bad for Sunday...

In case you're wondering what I'm talking about just look at the image to the left. Okay now that you know what's going on I'm going to go right to Sunday's game that brings the 49ers and Patriots head to head in Candlestick Park. With me living in the mid-west (Ohio) and the fact that the local stations only display local teams on television I'm pretty sure that the Niners game will not be shown here. Which is a drag but I have grown to deal with it - there are those rare occasion when they play the Browns and the Bengals but that doesn't happen too often. Okay back to the game at hand, I'm not sure how the Pats are doing without their main man Brady but what I do know is that they had their butts handed to them by the Dolphins (my wife's favorite team - Hi Baby) not too long ago - so I"m hoping for a similar performance by the Pats when coming to Cali to face the Niners. With Mike Nolan at the helm I'm confident that the boys in red and gold will not go down with out a good fight. Good Luck men and see you on Sunday!

Michigan coming through after all...

This past weekend was a bit busy with me being Puerto Rico and all so I was unable to catch the game that from what I saw on Sports Center was one to watch. I know that Michigan has a history of coming from behind but coming from behind and actually getting the win feels great. Now that I'm back in the US I plan on catching the game this coming weekend. Hope to see the other die had fans supporting the team on tv. Great job Michigan!

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - David Gilreath caught a touchdown pass with 13 seconds left but eighth-ranked Wisconsin failed on a two-point try and Michigan posted a 27-25 upset.

Wisconsin committed a penalty on its first two-point try and failed in its next attempt to enable the Michigan Wolverines to overcome a 19-point halftime deficit.

Wisconsin was trailing 27-19 before Allan Evridge hit Gilreath on a 22-yard scoring strike. The Badgers converted the first two-point try, but an illegal receiver down field nullified the tying score.

Brandon Graham had two forced fumbles and three sacks for the Wolverines (2-2, 1-0 Big Ten). John Thompson added a 25-yard interception return for a touchdown for the victors.

Michigan gained only 19 yards and turned the ball over five times in the first half. Brandon Minor and Sam McGuffie each scored rushing touchdowns and Kevin Koger caught a 26-yard TD pass in the win.

With the standings being where they are now I feel comfortable saying that Boston will have a great season from here on out. Now I would love to see another title won but that might be pushing it a bit much. Can you imagine the burst of energy that would come out of Boston if that were to happen. I'll just wait and look forard to it in the next few months - I'll focus more on this weekends trio when the Red Sox take on the Orioles.
