What the F*** ?!?!?!
Are you F***ing kidding me! I just read a news article that a young lady was denied her diploma during the ceremony because she had family members cheering for her too loudly. When I read this I completely lost it because my head exploded and I did not have any duct tape available to contain it. IT'S A GRADUATION! These numb nuts actually had a stupid policy that would ask family and friends to refrain from cheering during the ceremony. I would of looked at them in the eyes and said "Are You F***ing Kidding Me" - this is one of my daughter's moments in life and you want me the parent not to express my love and pride towards her achievement?! I just attended my youngest daughter's graduation from the sixth grade. I cheered my head off as well as my wife, her sister stayed up all night creating a sign that would show how she feels towards her sister's accomplishments. This school should throw out that ridiculous policy and let family and friends cheer on their family member/friend.

I understand your frustration but I also know that some of the schools have a "no applause" rule and if the student and the audience was told not to applaud? Then it is unfortunate but it's on those who attend to demonstrate some personal responsibility.
There is a happy medium here. Go nuts if you have to, but please shut up in time for me to hear my kid's name being read. My camcorder won't get a second chance. They used to call it common courtesy.
I agree with that but they should of escorted the roudy bunch and not hold it against the student who's memory will also have one chance.
You know, if they have the policy and they announce to hold your applause till the end. . .
What's NOT to understand, except for those SPECIAL parents, family and friends who assume that "the rule" doesn't apply to their graduate.
Unfortunately, somebody has to set the bad example, before the message sinks in.
