Hey folks, Whats going on? Sorry for the long span in between posts. We just purchased a 43" plasma and a nice Direct TV bundle - so you can imagine what I've been doing for some time now. The previous entry mentions a show called Once Upon a Time, I watched the second episode and so far I'm actually enjoying it. I currently have three other shows that I'm following.
1. Castle
2. Fringe
3. The Walking Dead

These three shows are the only ones I'll watch with out any interruptions. The house could be on fire and the most I'll do is move the episode to my iTouch so I don't miss anything. :)

Now that Once Upon seems to be a good show I just might make this show number four. If you have a favorite show please leave a comment referencing them.

'via Blog this' I'm not much for storybook stories/shows but this new show on ABC has some potential. It is definitely a twist on how the original fairy tales came from and their meanings. I found myself wanting more after each commercial. Now this doesn't exactly fit my Fringe and Castle type shows but I can see myself watching the next episode. Give it a try, who knows you just might like it.

Well the 49ers handed out a good old fashion butt kicking this past Sunday (48-3) against Tampa Bay. The game was awesome to watch on my new 43" Plasma. The colors were really bright and of course the action was sweet. Well the Lions won on Monday night against the Bears which puts them at 5-0. Yes, like many of you out there wondering "Where the heck did this team come from"
If i'm not mistaken I think these two teams meet up next Sunday at 1:00pm. You can safely assume that I will not be that far from the screen when this game comes on. I wish them both the best but of course I'll be rooting for my Niners.

This past Wednesday Amazon released the popular Kindle Fire. I'm not too informed on the Kindle brand but I have seen a few recently. A co-worker has one and she absolutely loves it. Now Kindle has color version and it looks to be a hit this year for the holidays. I can easily see someone getting this for my lovely wife. Welcome, I would like to take a moment to mention that my youngest daughter is now 17 years old. There are many ways to get a great workout with excellent results. I try to increase my workout so that I keep my body guessing what's next. I haven't really thought about bodybuilding supplements but if I were to venture into that world I would seek out details from the pros that know a thing or two. New Rules - Are they needed or not?

NEW ORLEANS (UPI) -- NFL owners meeting in New Orleans Tuesday enacted several rule changes, including moving kickoffs from the 30- to the 35-yard line.

Players on the kicking team will only be allowed a 5-yard running start, instead of 15 yards.

However, the owners declined a recommendation by the league's competition committee to move touchbacks from the 20-yard line to the 25.

In another change, the booth official will now confirm all questionable scoring plays. Coaches will still be allowed two challenges per game, gaining a third if they are correct their first two.

The owners also acted to end confusion on penalties for dead ball fouls. The end of a half will not be extended for those infractions.

The league decreed all playing surfaces must remain grass-colored.

I can already see that the idea of giving the kicking team only five yards to run will cause a few penalties due to passing the kick-off line with it being closer than before.

I can safely assume a lot of touch-backs will be the end result based on the added five yards. The league denied the addition of five yards to the touch-back from the 20- to the 25- yard line. I can see why they kept it at the original 20. The last thing the opposing team needs is an added advantage to driving the ball to the end zone.

I will also have to agree that the field should remain green and not any other color. It was green when it all started so it should remain green from now on.

I would like to mention to all my readers that even though you know Spring is just around the corner remember that with warm weather comes new drivers. It's been reported in the past that most new drivers (teenagers) are out in full force around the beginning of Spring. The title you see above were the exact words my wife said to me this past weekend. I first thought that she might be talking about wanting new cupboards or a new counter but surprisingly I was wrong. She stared at the sink we currently have and said that it looks too plain. I told her that most undermount sinks don't have much of special design to them. It wasn't even two seconds later when she suggested I visit MR Direct's website. WOW is what I said because I never thought that an undermount sink could actually be design to look awesome and stylish. Hope and change is what the Obama campaign rode on but unfortunately here in Toledo we seem to keep things the same without any strained thought. Once again we have another offer for the docks across from downtown Toledo and from what I've read/heard in other blogs (GCJ) and the many callers on the radio - it looks like we might be turning this down as well and continue to think that the city should be in the business of running a business. This city can't resist an opportunity to keep us in the depths of blight. We will dick this around for weeks, the group interested will change their minds and we will soon see matching plywood panels (like the many buildings in downtown) covering the windows of the empty restaurants and like clock work we will have the same stupid questions from elected officials i.e. "What can we do to better this city?".

Hoping for a change in the politics here in Toledo but I pretty much know the answer to that one.

This past weekend was how can I put it uh BRUTAL. We moved two bedrooms around and redid the basement so that everyone in the house would be happy. Well, I can honestly say that I am still tired from all the work and energy spent. Just like the title states we are looking into redoing the bathroom as well. Yes, you can feel free to comment and say that I am crazy for taking on so much and it's not even Spring yet but if you saw our bathroom you would most certainly agree that it needs a good face lift.

Well, I would like to start out by saying that I am not the best dancer in the world and you wouldn't see me in Dancing with the Stars any time soon. What I can tell you is that if I'm challenged to a duel in dancing then I will do my best to win. My daughter bought Just Dance 2 for the Wii and not only is she good at it but my wife and other daughter are as well. I tried a couple of the songs but nothing really hit me as "the" song to dominate with until I heard Power by Snap. Boy did my old school senses come up from the grave. I jammed and shook my tail like no one can. Now we have a date scheduled to challenge each other this Saturday afternoon. Wish me luck - I'll try to bring the trophy home (no trophy exists).

I have to admit that I did not want to try it when I first heard about it but now that I've watched season 1 I have to say this show is awesome and very well presented. Each episode leaves you wanting more and more to the point where you can't wait to watch the next episode (I space them out so that I don't watch them all at once) just to see what happens next. Well, it's week two and I've trying this new workout that makes me focus on my actual workout and not how much I can do in a short period of time. Each rep I do I have to slow it down and really focus on the movement. I can honestly say that it feels great after my first set. Bench pressing is tough already but adding the slow factor really makes you feel the burn.

With the Bulls winning these past few days it feels even better to announce that my 49ers have won a good game in overtime with a nicely placed field goal by Joe Nedney. I wasn't able to watch the game but from what I saw on ESPN.com and read on UPI it was definitely a good game. Here is UPI's coverage of the game -

NFL: San Francisco 23, St. Louis 20 (OT)
SAN FRANCISCO (UPI) -- Joe Nedney kicked a 29-yard field goal 9:39 into overtime Sunday, letting the San Francisco 49ers edge St. Louis 23-20.

The 49ers had taken a three-point lead on a 16-yard touchdown pass from Troy Smith to Michael Crabtree with 2:10 left in the fourth quarter, but Rams kicker Josh Brown forced an overtime when he hit a 33-yard field goal as time expired.

Smith tossed for a career-best 356 yards and a touchdown, going 17-of-28, and Frank Gore ran for 87 yards and a score on 22 carries for San Francisco (3-6).

The Rams, meanwhile, lost for the second time in three games.

Sam Bradford finished the game with 251 yards and one touchdown, and Steven Jackson gained 81 yards on 20 carries with a score for St. Louis (4-5).

You know, just when you think you have a fix on what a team can and can't do BOOM you get surprised. A big CONGRATS to the Bulls for delivering a good old fashion whoop ass. The fact that this team is still my favorite is not a shocker but the fact that they handed GS an ass kicking truly brings a smile to my face. Read the following for UPI and tell me if this wasn't a good game.

NBA: Chicago 120, Golden State 90
CHICAGO (UPI) -- A big game from Luol Deng helped Chicago take control early Thursday and the Bulls easily held on to crush Golden State 120-90.

Deng had 26 points, 11 rebounds and six assists in helping bring Chicago its second straight win. All four of Chicago's victories this year have come at home.

Derrick Rose added 22 points and 13 assists for the Bulls and Joakim Noah had 17 points.

The Bulls built a 66-38 halftime lead and their lead grew to as many as 33 points late in the third period.

Monta Ellis scored 24 to lead the Warriors, who played without center David Lee (elbow). Golden State fell to 2-2 on a five-game road trip.

The Bulls shot 54 percent from the floor and missed just twice in 23 attempts from the foul line.

I came across this show about a week ago and I told myself not to watch it because the last thing I need is to be hooked on another show. Well, I'm here to tell you that I have failed big time. Not only am I watching the show but I'm hooked on it and have added it to my roster of shows that are a must see. Michael Imperioli is the one to look for in this hit show. I've been watching his performance since Goodfellas. That's right he was in Goodfellas. Can't remember where? Let's just say that he went by the name Spider. I am sick and tired of politics and those who follow it to the point of bleeding red or blue. I will for the moment stay back and watch this train wreck happen. Most people say that Marcy Kaptur is doing an excellent job at bringing back money to the state of Ohio. We need her there because she has established such a strong stance over the years that if we were to lose her things will go horribly wrong here in Ohio.
I want all of you to know this post dated 10/14/2010 will be the starting point of "I told you so" - let's give her yet another term to bring back money to this still dying state. Maybe if we give her one more term those following will continue to focus on what she really isn't doing and that's maintaining the jobs we have here as well as trying to bring in new ones. This state and the city of Toledo are in such a bad shape that the majority of the citizens don't even know it or they do know it but choose to ignore in "hopes" of things "changing".

This also begs the question, how does a 28-year incumbent Congresswoman not know what the Ohio Military Reserve is? Now most of you know that no matter what happens each season I will still remain a great supporter of Niners. If it was someone else they would of dumped this team and moved on to a better one. I still truly feel that the 49ers will have a decent season. Even though Smith had a few errors I still consider him too new to blame. I just hope that my other Niners fans don't give up on the team. Robinson found Junior Hemingway on a 42-yard pass with just 21 seconds remaining and on the next play scampered into the end zone to hand the Wolverines (5-0, 1-0 Big 10) a victory in the conference openers for both schools.

Robinson moved Michigan 73 yards on five plays during the decisive fourth-quarter drive. He was an offensive force, piling up 494 total yards and accounting for five touchdowns, including a 70-yard TD pass to Hemingway.

The Heisman Trophy candidate finished the day 10-of-16 passing for 277 yards while racking up 217 yards and two scores on the ground.

Ben Chappell, meanwhile, had a big day for Indiana (3-1, 0-1), setting school records for passing yards (480), completions (45) and attempts (64). He connected for with three touchdowns and an interception.

I've returned to watching 24 on Netflix, I am currently on season 4 and loving each episode as they go by. When this show first started I didn't jump on the Jack Bauer band wagon like most of the people I know. I can honestly say that after watching the first few episodes I was hooked. Considering that when I started watching they were already five seasons into the series that still didn't deter me from wanting to catch up on the missed seasons and episodes. If you haven't watched 24 before or you would like to go back and watch them just in case you missed something then grab yourself an account at Netflix and start watching today or even tomorrow.

The more I read on what's best for a great and successful workout the more I want to add to my routine. I just read a small tid bit on the Men's Health website that could help me when working out. I have had it wrong for quite a long time now. I had it fixed in my mind that when I wear "sweat pants & sweat shirts" that I was doing the right thing. Well it turns out that it would be better to switch to synthetic clothing so that the sweat that pours out of me won't weigh me down even more. I will try this out tonight and see what the difference would feel like. I will post tomorrow as to the results of my workout.

Now don't get me wrong here - this woman (Ines Sainz) to the left is hott but I wouldn't say she's the hottest in the world. Mens Health.com has mentioned that this lovely lady would be in the running for such an award. I would agree to that but in my honest opinion I would definitely put Megan Fox ahead of her easily.

Well, the 49ers had themselves an interesting time this past weekend. Hoping to see a good game turned out to be a brutal butt whooping. I kept checking ESPN.com periodically throughout the game and I found myself stopping after half time. I knew that with it being the beginning of the season that they would need to get their game faces on before presenting some great games. What's going on folks - Roman here delivering his inside thoughts on what he thinks of the movie Zombieland. It started out pretty normal, you know the blood splatter and human chewing creatures aka zombies. I actually enjoyed it - not what I expected for a "Zombie" movie but it was entertaining nonetheless. The fact that one of the main characters had himself a long list of rules was kind of cool but even he had to brake a few of them. If you have the time and effort please do yourself a favor and watch it. It's funny and truly fun to watch oh and keep an eye out for Bill Murray.

Well now that I have accomplished getting my appendix removed I am going to try and locate a great dentist because from the neglect that I have given my teeth I am going to need a really good one to help me out. It has been about two weeks and three days since my appendix was removed. I feel great and can actually sleep a little better at night. I still have two weeks left before I can lift my usual weight in boxes and such. The doc put me on a month's time off and strictly kept to light duty. Before I continue any further I would like to thank my wife for being there for me when the pain was too much to bear as well as having her by my side before and after the surgery. Trust me fellow readers, if you find yourself with the slightest pain in the abdomen don't push it off like I did - get it looked at immediately.

Sky diving, Base jumping, Cliff diving are great sports to try out but when you find yourself bored doing that please try what you see above. I find this type of flying to be truly extreme. The thought of them flying that close to the mountain side barely touching the bushes is just awesome. If I had the time and money and the weight loss I would definitely try this.

On a normal day most of us find ourselves trying to squeeze in as much as we can in an hour's time just to make sure we have enough time the following hour do fit more tasks. Now I know most of you reading this can probably relate to this scenario but if you can't then you probably fall under the same problem my daughter does. My daughter had a project that needed to be done by the end of this week. Well, most teenagers like to procrastinate - in her case she definitely knows how. With the week half way through she needed some help locating some images that she downloaded but was unable to locate where she put them. She called me in a panic because apparently the teacher wanted the project turned in sooner for early grading. I quickly hopped on my Proxy 2 (PC Remote Access) and began locating her images from work. Within a few minutes I found her images and she was able to turn in her assignment on time. The scenario I just gave you is just one of the many reasons as to why this program helps many when times are tight. Now if I can only turn this life saving moment into a chores reimbursement?

I have been watching the show Prison Break for the last month or so and let me tell you - this show is an awesome one. I never watched an episode before so when I saw that Netflix had all four seasons I was pretty excited. Right from the beginning it's non stop action. If you currently have a Netflix account and are able to watch this show I would recommend you watch it online through your computer, especially if you have a good surround sound hooked up. Trust me when I tell you that this show will keep you entertained and it will constantly keep you guessing what the next move will be.

Woke up early this morning and found myself doing the usual chores - after I was done I did some searching through Hulu's library of action movies and found an early produced film on Captain America. Watching this felt pretty good, today's film making is a bit better but you can't take away the old school ways of acting. Is it me or can guys be addicted to chatting and gossiping? I would like to use myself as an example just to prove that guys do gossip and chatter too often. I am currently addicted to a game called Combat Arms, it's an FPS (first person shooter) game that is free online for all to play. I am also part of the Facebook community world as well. My wife believes that men aren't and shouldn't be that social towards each other. I on the other hand think that a tight group formed online is the best way to be both happy and internet savvy at the same time. We are about 14 strong (in the game) and we actually chat outside of the game as well. If I didn't have an internet connection I would probably find myself reading books from morning to night (boring). I currently have a DSL connection but imagine what a satellite high speed internet connection would do for me - not only will I be able to load pages faster then before but I can probably get into the game map a heck of a lot faster then my crew. The last thing I would want is to be in the middle of a good battle to find out that the other players in the game froze because I lost connection. I would like for those of you reading this to please post a comment and let me know if you think guys should or shouldn't be close on the internet.

HOW TO CALL THE POLICE WHEN YOU'RE OLD AND DON'T MOVE FAST ANYMORE.

George Phillips, an elderly man, from Meridian, Mississippi, was going up to bed, when his wife told him that he'd left the light on in the garden shed, which she could see from the bedroom window. George opened the back door to go turn off the light, but saw that there were people in the shed stealing things.

He phoned the police, who asked "Is someone in your house?"
He said "No," but some people are breaking into my garden shed and stealing from me.

Then the police dispatcher said "All patrols are busy. You should lock your doors and an officer will be along when one is available.."

George said, "Okay."

He hung up the phone and counted to 30. Then he phoned the police again..

"Hello,I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people stealing things from my shed.. Well, you don't have to worry about them now because I just shot and killed them both, the dogs are eating them right now." and he hung up.

Within five minutes, six Police Cars, a SWAT Team,a Helicopter, two Fire Trucks, a Paramedic, and an Ambulance showed up at the Phillips' residence, and caught the burglars red-handed.

One of the Policemen said to George , "I thought you said that you'd shot them!"
George said, "I thought you said there was nobody available!"

Using today alone I must of spotted at least 12 drivers that have a total lack of common sense when driving on the roads here in town. I have a strong theory about those of you out there that have new cars. I'm thinking that those Mercedes, Lexus, Mazda etc. etc. owners spent so much money just getting that car that the feature that should be included (turn signals) might not have been affordable. These guys were all over the road and God forbid they would let you know that they intend on cutting you off with out any warning what so ever. So for today I am sticking with any expensive car owner out there driving must not of been able to afford the turn signal package.
I will continue to post these knuckle heads on daily purpose if at all possible. Heck maybe I'll throw in a photo or two.

Just when I want to post more details on the day to day happenings around here my computer decides to take a vacation aka breaks. Well after going through some withdrawal I managed to tweak my daughter's pc so that it functions the way I like it. She has a pretty new computer but she bought herself a laptop so the pc sat in a corner untouched. It turns out that her computer functions better with my video card then what it did before. So, like I promised before - I will be posting a bit more often just to keep this fresh around here. I am going to cut and paste this post and insert it into my other blog so that the readers there know where I have been.

Coincidence?

Coincidence would be the appropriate word for this post. A few days ago I mentioned that my wife was having trouble with her eyeglasses and some of you who saw that sent me many e-mails offering ideas on how to soften the pain. One suggestion was so weird that someone said that she should use duct tape to keep the frame from scratching the side of her head. What they failed to realize is that the duct tape won't hold on forever and it will start to stick to her hair and cause more problems for her. I will keep those suggestions in mind but what I would like to offer my friends is a chance to read this Article and see for themselves that getting great eyeglasses can be done with out spending a whole lot. Now for the coincidence, this morning while getting into my car I accidentally dropped my glasses on the ground and stepped on them. Well, the lens on the right side seems to be okay but the left one and the left side arm are scratched pretty bad. I had to use a piece of tissue on the left side to prevent the frame from scratching the side of my face. Now the Mrs. and I have something else in common - it's a good thing I know where to go for affordable and dependable eyeglasses.

I am sorry that I have not posted something in the past few days. I have been feeling a bit under the weather and it didn't help that I had some issues with my PC yesterday. Well to be honest, my PC had been acting up for about a few months now. I would repeatedly get an error message that would prevent my PC from loading its' operating system. During the start up session it would present a black screen and a voice would prompt saying "System Failed CPU Test". I used to wiggle some wires inside the tower and it would load just fine.

Well last night after about an hour and a half of this issue I gave up and searched online for this error. It turns out that ASUS (my mother board creators) have had some passed problems supporting certain video cards. Since I'm thin on extra cash I decided to unplug the card and reinsert it hoping that by doing so would solve my issue. Well it did, now I was able to load my programs and go about my daily routine. So like I said before, I apologize for the absent days and I will try to be on and posting something daily.

This post might throw some of my friends off track, heck it might even have them questioning what is wrong with me. I want to inform them right now that there is nothing wrong with me. With that out of the way I would like to announce that I would be more then thrilled to attend a rodeo and not just any rodeo I'm talking about the Superbowl of rodeos - The National Finals Rodeo. My NFR tickets 2010 are just a click away. I have met strangers at monster truck events talk about rodeos and given what they have experienced I would attend one in a heart beat. Yes, I have been to monster truck shows before, (moving on). There aren't too many events out there that catch my interest but I can see myself going to a rodeo show and enjoying it. With the way that it was described by the folks at the truck show I found it easier making the decision to go. In case some of you didn't know - my oldest daughter has saved a dog from the pound by adopting her. Yes, the dog you see to the right is the one. Alma is her name and bath time as you can see is not exactly her game. She looks great and from the videos I've seen of her she seems to have a great attitude and wonderful spirit around people. I would like to thank you again Em for saving that wonderful creature and giving her a wonderful home.

Yesterday was a day that will go down in history as the day that my daughter has gone off the deep end and bought herself a dog. That's right folks a DOG, okay maybe it's not the end of the world but I thought she was going to get a dog that would be more suitable for her apartment. What you see to the left (although cute) is everything but small. The new dog goes by the name Alma, a beautiful name but I'm thinking it will change once the her personality comes out full force. Congrats Emily on getting a good looking dog and of course thank you for rescuing one from the pound. I love you and I hope Alma shows you how much she loves you for freeing her from the cages.

Great words from the man in charge Mike Singletary. I would be happy with either quarterback running the team I love dearly. In an article at ArcaMax Sports/UPI that I read today they point out that Shaun Hill brought home 5 wins of the last 6 encounters towards the end of the season. Nothing against Alex Smith because I think he's great as well but let's use Hill for now and see where we stand by the end of November. I am really looking forward to watching my team play and kick some butt - game day for me starts when they have their opener against 08's NFC Champs the Cardinals. So whether we have Hill or Smith running things on the grid iron I just want others out there know that this season will be one to watch and one to watch closely.

The other day when I went on my walk I noticed a section of the road I was on sinking on the edges. When I got closer I noticed three orange cones that were laying down near the area. The image you see to the left is that of the section of the road I'm speaking of. I stood the cones up so that those driving on that road would be aware of the possible danger. Would you believe me if I told you that on my way back from my walk I found the cones to be knocked over again and this time they were pushed towards the railing where no one can see them. I retrieved them from the brush and stood them back up, I have not gone back to see if they were untouched yet but if they are I'm going to see if I can get someone from the city to come over and see what they can do to keep these cones from being knocked down or removed. I'll post an update as soon as I get a chance to go on my walk today.

Well this morning could not of been any more entertaining. I would like to first mention that I have been collecting a lot of metal materials like aluminum cans and other aluminum items so that I can take them into the recycling center and make some money. Well I have managed to hold on to about 26lbs of cans and about 108lbs of aluminum thus far. Well after getting it all to fit in my Camry I headed out to the center - along the way I happened to meet an interesting character. The character would be an unnamed rock/boulder - it made a really close introduction by scrapping under my car and causing what was a small gas leak turn into an all out gas leak. There I was trying to dispose of all this aluminum and the smell of gasoline can be picked by everyone there which of course had to inform me that I had a leak. DUH! I finally got the cans in one bin and the other material in another.

The cans were 26lbs for a huge payout of $10 (sarcastic face of course)! The other material was not processed because since most of it looked the same the center was cautious and asked me to get a letter head from my employer (they gave me the scrapped pieces) and bring it back so that I can get payed. Now here I was with a slip to fill out and a pocket with a fresh scented $10 bill in it and a huge concern if I was going to make it to the gas station or was I going to have to hike it to get some gas. Well the car did make it to the station but not before giving me some scary moments. That's right, the car stalled twice - once at a light and the other was right before I pulled into the gas station.

I managed to coast it in right up to a pump. The smell of gasoline was of course with me when I got out to pay for some more. I put in five bucks worth in hopes that it wouldn't be on the road immediately - I was able to drop it off at Doug's Automotive on South Avenue in Toledo. There the car sits until Doug looks at it tomorrow. So what started out to be a money maker ended up being what might be a large expense. Moral of the story - don't meet any strange "characters" on your way out because it will cost you one way or another. Your best bet is to swerve away.

UPDATE:

Well the pool is still filling up which I think will continue until about 9:30 or so. My two daughters were in and out of the pool while it was filling cooling off from the hot sun and warm air. Heck the dogs even joined in on the fun. We had to retrain them on how to stay afloat and paddle otherwise they (we have two dogs) will drop to the bottom like a couple of rocks. They were none too happy having to go around with wet doggy hair for about a half hour but they did have fun in the pool even though it was shallow enough for them to walk/swim around.

I apologize for not putting something up yesterday - everything got really hectic at work so I wasn't able to put some time aside to post anything that was going on with me. Now today is a different day - woke up this morning wanting to do nothing but chill all day and do absolutely nothing. Well that lasted about two hours before I got bored and started my usual chores around the house. The one task I was not looking into starting today was the re-cleaning of the pool. My wife called me from a picnic that she was attending and asked if I could clean it because it looks like it will be rather warm the next few days.

Upon looking into the pool I really wanted to call her back and say that it was beyond hope but I didn't want this small chore hold me back from accomplishing yet another task. I managed to get it completely cleaned in about an hour and 45 minutes. Now the pool is filling up and my daughter and I are impatiently waiting to jump in and go for a nice fresh swim. I believe that my tan will be nice and dark by the end of tomorrow. Talk to you guys later.

I would like to start this post out by saying HooAhh! to my neighbor Ted. Now this man has himself one of those 1800 rpm Diesel Generators. I was so envious of this man last year because of his generator - when our town was hit by some pretty strong winds that took out most of the city in a snap. He calmly walked around his nice home and within a few seconds his home lit up like a Christmas tree. His house was the only one on the block to shine so bright. He invited us over until the power came back on but I was only able to go for a few minutes because of course my dogs had to bark at every little sound that they heard (no music or tv coming from the kids room so every sound was suspicious).

He was the talk of the neighborhood for months, heck here I am talking about that moment and we're coming up on almost a year now. I haven't had a chance to chat with the man to find out where he got his but if you're reading this and you know for a fact that no one in your neighborhood has a Diesel Generator do yourself a favor and head on out and get one. People will be talking about you for months as wellfor being so smart and getting one. Well, as for me I think something like one of those Towable Diesel Generators would suit me just fine. With a new home now it would be nice to have it around incase something goes wrong with the wiring.

85 sees a spot on NFL Playoffs...

Well well well - it looks like somene has jumped the gun and has already predicted that his team will be in the playoffs. Good ole Ochocinco (from the CINCINNATI BENGALS) has said in the middle of the teams mandatory minicamp that he feels the team will be in the playoffs this season. Seriously, this is not a mistake or a messed up post - Chad is holding within his mind the hopes of getting to the playoffs. Well all I can say is good luck with that because unless you predict my 49ers in the running as well then I'm going to have to lean over and say "Maybe next year". Okay okay I'll behave, you never know they might very well make it to the playoffs given the other teams come down with some serious illness and are not permitted to participate. Alright I'll stop it, but on the serious side - good luck to the team and hope to see another great season of NFL football.

Yesterday afternoon my wife’s friend brought over some of her husband’s old jerseys that he no longer wanted for me to have. Well the first one I looked at was a Denver Bronco jersey I didn’t see what the name was but it looked pretty cool. The second one was a darker one - it was one of the Atlanta Falcons jersey. I was surprised that he didn’t want it anymore until I saw the name on the back.

You guessed it - good ole Mike Vick, at first I didn’t want it but then I told myself that I can use this on many occasions. Well for starters I can use this the next time I visit the dog pound in search for a puppy (yeah I know that was wrong) but in a way it is funny. Better yet I can wear the next time the Falcons play one of my friends’ team that way I can show up with some choke collars and wood sticks telling them that they need to get their team into shape. I plan on being booted from the party shorty after.

It's been about a month or so since I bought my 92 Toyota Camry from a friend fro $300 and as most of you know a car that only costs $300 will have some issues or something missing. Well for me it has a few things wrong with it but it's nothing I can't fix but the one thing I can't fix is the A/C. It went bad about a year ago according to the previous owner, for all I know it may need a diesel fuel pump or something like it. I'll be honest with you guys - I have no idea how the A/c works other then turning the switch from off to on that's it. I think I'll be giving these guys a call and see what they can for me because with Summer just around the corner and the car being a dark color it's only going to get hotter inside that car.

I just got an update from a news source the UNEASYsilence that has said that the popular over the counter product known as Zicam is harmful to people who use it. The main harm is the loss of the sense of smell. I'm looking into this a bit more before I say anything else because the last thing I need is a lie spread by others that might believe it. Now I do know Rush Limbaugh uses the stuff and repeatedly mentions the use of it with the swabs and stuff. I need to visit his site and see if he has any information regarding this issue. I'll keep you guys posted.

I would like to get my daughter's attention on this post. Yes you Emily, on your next trip to Vermont you might want to try the Family inn Vermont instead of the usual same old same old cabin. I know that you have made the trip to Vermont each and every year so I figured you can do so but this time you might want to bring "others" with you like I don't know a family member maybe. The scenery there would be great for one of those old fashion Vermont weddings. Can you imagine attending a wedding in Vermont where the backdrop is actually a wintry scene and not some screen printed canvas. Heck you know what you might even be able to get your troops at work to have a nice Vermont meetings instead of the same stuffy conference room day in and day out. We can even plan a nice family get together in Vermont so that your siblings can get an inside view of the beautiful surroundings there. This is just a suggestion my dear, I wouldn't take you away from the warm environment that California has.

The linked title above will direct you to an article I read that a woman filed a lawsuit against Quaker Oats and their name brand Captain Crunch because she thought for many years that she was truly eating actual fruit pieces in the berries cereal. Okay I know that times are tight and that this might of been an easy win given the history of some of the judges in California but come on really - filing a lawsuit because there wasn't any actual fruit in the berries cereal is just insane let alone embarrassing to her and her family. Just when you thought things can't get any more weirder poof out comes this story. Some people just need a break away from the rainbow colored pills and I'm not talking about Skittles. The judge isn't mentioned in the article but I would like to send a huge Thank You for doing the right thing and tossing this suit out the window.
